Tanks that require a double cutout, toolbox cutout or fuel senders will take longer, and you will be advised an estimated delivery.
Oiltek Long range Fuel Tanks are unique in design, as they are manufactured from 3mm Aluminium and use a different method of fastening to the Frame from the Tank Strap. The Tank is made from 4 pieces of cut material, tig welded together, then the Filler neck, fuel tap Adaptor, and mounting bush are welded in place.
The fastening of the Tank utilises the existing holes vacated by the old Air Scoop and at the rear, two of the threaded Bushes span the existing plate that fastens the Lambretta Frame Tube to the Overbody.
We have fitted our Tanks in TS1’s, RB’s, Mugello’s and Rapido kitted machines, all with either Dellorto or Mikuni Carb’s.
Several configurations of the Tank are available which basically are different side carb cut out's etc for two Tanks, a Series 1 - 2 or Series 3. Series 1 -2 Tanks are a slightly different shape and are 15mm wider than the Series 3 Tanks. The only other factor in ordering a Tank is whether the Tank is to be made for a Italian/Indian Lambretta or a Spanish machine. For some unknown reason, the distance between the front and back where the Tank fits is shorter by approx. 5mm in Spanish Lambretta's. All this obviously dictates the capacity of the Tank, but on an average they hold between 15 and 16 litres.
